The first ever Naruto game was released in the year 2003. Naruto: Konoha Ninpocho was the first Naruto video game and was launched on March 27, 2003. Naruto is one of the most famous games in Japan. Initially most game developers would release Naruto only in Japan.

However in the year 2006 two Naruto games where launched in North America. The games created furore in the gaming community of North America. These games were the dubbed version of the popular games Naruto: Gekito Ninja Taisen and Naruto: Saikyo Ninja which were originally in Japanese language. These games were titled Naruto: Clash of Ninja and Naruto: Ninja Council when they were launched in North America.
